What to expect from a consultation
The first consultation usually lasts for an hour, when your condition and general health will be discussed and any relevant examinations can be carried out. This will include taking blood pressure and pulse readings and examining the tongue, these give the herbalist an idea of your present health situation.
A therapeutic plan will then be decided upon, with your agreement, and medicine prescribed. Further return visits are of about half an hour when your condition will be reviewed.
